All You Need to Know About Global Entry for Indian Citizens in USA

DACA program

Indian citizens are eligible for Global Entry to the USA at 53 airports and 15 preclearance locations. All the applicants must enroll themselves in U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s Global Online Enrollment System (GOES). The application fees ($100) are non-refundable and once approved, it is valid for a five-year Global Entry membership. All the applications must be made online. A CBP officer will conduct a scheduled interview with the applicant once the application is approved. The officer decides the final eligibility of the applicant.

How Will I Benefit from This?
India is the 11th country whose citizens are eligible to enroll in Global Entry. Currently, Global Entry is available at 53 U.S. airports and 15 Preclearance locations for trusted international travelers. Currently, more than 4 million Global Entry members bypass traditional CBP inspection lines and use an automated kiosk to complete their admission to the United States.

Once approved for Global Entry, you will also be eligible to participate in TSA PreCheck, once you are enrolled in Global Entry. TSA PreCheck lets you enjoy expedited security screening. You can ease through checkpoints without removing shoes, liquids, and gels from your carry-on, laptop from your bag, light outerwear/jacket, and belts.
